Area Manager
Position:

 Area Manager

The Role

 To oversee a team of managers about their performance and their own teams. Ensuring monthly development plans and performance reviews are met timely, addressing any performance issues and identifying talent.
 To understand the retail environment and suggest sales strategies to drive the full-price business in each e.g. stock package, customer profile, incentives, marketing.
 To lead on the Experience ensuring that all managers and their teams are trained in selling techniques and product knowledge so they can create an effective and productive selling team within their store.
 To be aware of competitor activity and communicate this to the team and head office.
 Monitor stock within the stores to identify fast and slow sellers then recommend appropriate action.
 Provide effective feedback to buyers / merchandisers ensuring that popular selling lines are replenished on time and nuances of the market are communicated.
 Work closely with the Visual team to ensure global merchandising standards are adhered to in all stores and window displays.
 To control costs to budget where appropriate.
 Ensure the company procedures on security are adhered to.
 Set up reporting vehicles to ensure constant feedback to the related department as Retail Office, Finance and HR, etc.

The Person

 A commercially driven attitude and passion for the luxury sector.
 Assertive and sales target driven attitude.
 A proven track record of developing a large team.
 Strong organizational and planning skills.
 Retail management experience, preferably at area management level for a luxury retailer.
